Location: Taunton Racecourse

This will be her first time running under rules in open company, meaning it will be an even bigger test than Chaddesley Corbett was going to be! Set in the heart of the Somerset countryside, Taunton is England’s youngest jumps racecourse posses outstanding views to the wooded slopes of the Blackdown Hills.

“Regatta de Blanc will head to Taunton for her next start. She’ll be making her debut under rules and it will be a big step up in class for her. It is a brave decision as she could progress through the point to point ranks but we feel this is our best opportunity for her to run on some nice ground between now and the coronation cup at larkhill on February the 4th. The point to point options are limited for her between now and then. This Hunter chase at Taunton is always competitive as it is the first one of the season but we feel looking at the race last year she’d have finished very close. However this year we are aware it could be a more competitive race with some talented older horses potentially running. Hopefully she can give a good show and we believe the track and 2m5f distance will suit.”

Please come and join us on Monday 8th December at Taunton Racecourse to see REGATTA DE BLANC attempt to extend her unbeaten record.  She is entered in the Geoffrey Bosley ‘Tally Ho’ Open Hunters’ Chase that starts at 3pm. This is her first time running under rules and in open company, meaning this is by far her biggest test.

Trainer/Jockey Will Biddick has full faith in REGATTA DE BLANC’s ability, so this is a very exciting next step in her career. Aim to arrive for the first race 12.55 to make the most of your owners badges!
